Shane McCosker has won the 2019 English Open held in the Dorset Hotel, Ryde, Isle of Wight during the week 22nd to 26th April. 16 entries competed for the title which became a one horse race in the end.

The 2017 English open was held in the Dorset Hotel, Ryde, Isle of Wight during the Week of the 17th to 21st of April.
with 15 entries and went down to 14 in mid week with Tom Kee having to pull out
The 2015 English Open was held recently in Town House Club, Ryde, Isle of Wight during the week 20th-24th of April.
A poor turnout of 16 entries was further reduced when Brian Poole had to go home after becoming ill. This would have created the need to introduce a bye with an odd number of players so Ian caws also withdrew.
